I LOVE red shoes. They can totally make a dull life exciting. Case in point, the movie Chocolat. Juliet Binoche wears red shoes and snags a hot gyspsy (Johnny Depp) with a cute Irish accent. Her costars that wear plain jane oxfords just get a lot of grief. Moral of the story: fabulous shoes can get you the best things in life.
