Classy Red Keds

Kyle could wear a garbage bag and look hot.  I'm in love with Kyle and his outfits most everyday, but when he wears his red Plimsoll kicks, I love him even more.  (It really is some bull that my throw away camera takes dreary pics like this.  His shoes really do make his outfit, and you can't see them!!)

I loved the shoes so much on Kyle, I went out to get a replacment pair of red kicks for my fashionable boyfriend, since his were wearning thin. I wanted to get him a sturdier pair, since his Keds fell apart so easily, but Urban Outfitters was all out of their red faux leather Plimsolls.  I went ahead and grabbed him a black pair.  They'll do for now. This is how he felt about them:

According to Wikipedia, Macramé "is a form of textile-making using knotting rather than weaving or knitting."  I've gotten a few interesting pieces from thrift stores over the years, but I really think I could make some macrame pieces myself.  I think most crafty kindergardeners in the seventies enjoyed making basket hangers and curtain pulls, since there was no Wii  back then, so I figure it's easy enough. Seems easy enough anyway?

Can I get some sunshine and salt water Please?  All this rain in fly over country is making me crazy.  I feel like I'm living in a swamp. Everything else in my life is making me crazy too.  If only the answer was throwing some things in the back of a van and heading west. Just for a bit.
